A Meal Of Cheese Experiencing French Food Culture

How A Meal Of Cheese Set Us Off On A Love Of French Food Culture

Christele was our first host on our Europe trip. We met her through a home exchange database and stayed with her and her two children for two nights.

Christele was a hard working Mum and was employed as a journalist for a local newspaper. We offered to cook dinner but she said she would organize it. When she arrived home she had many packages which she proceeded to unwrap and put the contents onto a platter. She unwrapped a French stick, washed a lettuce and we all sat down to a decadent dinner of French wine and over 4 kilo’s of delicious French cheese.

Christele said to us when she ate this beautiful cheese she was so proud to be French! And so she should.

However the one thing I do not understand is how the French can eat all this beautiful cheese and stay so amazingly slim!
