Feeling Safe

Folks,

I only just started using Couchsurfing, and as it was my first time travelling by myself without any Mandarin in China, I really appreciate the great people I have met (researched only women in my age group).

The experience of meeting with or staying with locals has made my experience 500% better, otherwise I'd be really lonely and scared.

The only pet peeve I have about some hosts, is that they are using finding travellers to make their hotel/hostel business known, and don't even spare a second to say hello to the visitor.
